Bridge Nine re-signs Death Before Dishonor

Official press release: Bridge Nine Records is proud to announce the re-signing of hardcore legends-in-the-making, Death Before Dishonor. In the four years since DBD originally joined the Bridge Nine roster, they've released two albums and two 7"s, played more than 250 shows per year, and successfully claimed the title of a force to be reckoned within the hardcore world. "DBD was the first band that really marked the turning point for Bridge Nine", said label owner Chris Wrenn. "They were our first band to hit the Billboard charts, they have been touring relentlessly and extensively for the last three years, and we're so excited that we can continue to grow with them." Death Before Dishonor's debut full-length release Count Me In hit stores in Spring of 2007 and went on to receive praise from press outlets all over the globe. Revolver, Outburn, AMP, Kerrang!, and even MTV2's Headbanger's Ball helped the world to acknowledge the band's unmatched talent, diehard work ethic, and unwavering beliefs. Additionally, Count Me In debuted on Billboard's Heatseekers, Independent Albums & Top New Artist charts and stayed there for over four weeks. This great success granted Death Before Dishonor the privilege of headlining tours both nationwide and internationally, taking the band to Europe, Australia, Japan, Great Britain, Mexico, Canada as well as every corner of the continental US. It's now 2009, two years since the release of Count Me In, and Death Before Dishonor is ready to unleash new material. In a genre often pegged for repetition, the band's diverse songwriting is so much more than just tough hardcore with a few breakdowns. Death Before Dishonor has a sense of history in their sound that takes from influences in metal, classic punk, and hardcore that finds a spot somewhere between Hatebreed and Dropkick Murphys and their new music will not disappoint. While preparing to record a new album, it came time for the band to decide upon a label to call home. Vocalist Bryan Harris said, "We really feel at home at Bridge Nine. The label has supported us since day one and when it was time to go label hunting, we heard some people out, but it was a no-brainer for us to stay with B9. They've seen us grow, they've grown with us, and in the last few years, they've grown to become that 'next level' label a band like ours would want to be on at this point in our career." Death Before Dishonor entered The Outpost with Jim Siegel (American Nightmare) two weeks ago to begin recording their yet-to-be-titled upcoming full-length, which is expected to hit stores in late July from Bridge Nine. Expect to see Death Before Dishonor back at it right after they complete recording, including a tour and festival appearances in Europe and shows in every state, city, and place they can in the US.
