Ace Fu began in the womb of Eric Speck as a label called Air King Alliance (AKA) at the close of 1997. The first release was a split 7" single was with Chisel (featuring the great Teddy Leo) and The Van Pelt (featuring the insane yet legendary Chrissy Leo). Eric then moved to Portland Oregon and decided to start anew, and thus was the birth of Ace Fu. A move back to NJ/NY with Pinback on the roster meant a beefing up of the label, which has been full steam ahead ever since.
