"Too much power concentrated in one man/company. If he doesn't like you for whatever reason he can blacklist your band & that c/would discourage other fests from booking your band. Besides he owns & controls the majority of music fests & I don't count hardcore fests."
He owns a majority of a very specific type of fest, which is red state butt rock, which he has 7 of him. He's far from owning a majority of music fests, even taking out hardcore fests. AEG and Live Nation both have way way more. He's probably the biggest "independent" in terms of quantity, but that doesn't make him a monopoly.
