Zodiak, featuring members of Rosetta, ex-Lickgoldensky, Balboa, and Javelina have finished recording their debut album, "Sermons." The effort is to be mastered in the coming weeks and was recorded over the course of the past three years by the band’s guitarist, Mick Mullin at Super 8 Studios (High on Fire, Total Fucking Destruction).
"Sermons" consists of eight tracks that were mostly created out of improvised jams, though according to the band a large portion of the material came out more structured sounding then originally planned. An early-2008 release via Translation Loss Records is expected, but in the meantime, you can preview the track "Excavate" from the band's Translation Loss debut here.
The band also plans on performing a few select dates throughout the course of next year.
