Arsis has announced the departure of vocalist Mike Parks, who had been filling in for guitarist/singer James Malone on vocals. Here's a statement from the band:
"When James' voice went out a couple tours ago, Mike did us the biggest favor by joining and replacing James on vocals. I know I speak for everyone in Arsis when I say we couldn't imagine anyone else doing a better job. He sacrificed a lot to do this with us. If anyone owes him the amount of respect we do, it's the fans.
As shitty as it might be, we felt that with the new album right around the corner, we needed to move on with Arsis in the Arsis way -- with James back on vocals. We wish him nothing but the best, as we'll always be friends."
Meanwhile, the group will enter the studio on September 3rd to begin tracking their next album for Nuclear Blast Records.
