Translation Loss Records signs Javelina

Official press release: Translation Loss Records are extremely pleased to announce one of the newest additions to their roster, Philadelphia’s doom/sludge masters Javelina. Javelina (pronounced ha-va-lE-na) started crafting their massive sound in October of 2005. Formed by ex-members of Philadelphia bands Lickgoldensky, SMUT and Otophobia/Endless Nightmare they spent over a year crafting their sound before playing their first show. Javelina's sound embodies the massive sludgy nature of Buzzoven and Eyehategod with the raw punk intensity of His Hero Is Gone and the straightforward nature of High On Fire all wrapped up into one. Javelina will continue to write, record, and tour until they have nothing left to give. Keep your ears open for the volume of Javelina and expect nothing short of godly from their Translation Loss debut. You can hear demo versions of two songs from their upcoming Translation Loss debut due out in early 2008 here.
