Yakuza completes new album

Yakuza has completed work on their next full-length, "Transmutations." "The tracking and mix is complete," frontman Bruce Lamont said of the album's progress. "We had jazz percussionists Michael Zerang and Hamid Drake come in for a few songs, it was a serious fucking honor. Man, I can't even begin to tell you how happy we are with the results. The songs are varied as always, this will never change...I will have to say, the label is gonna have a good time trying to market this one! Sanford [Parker, producer] brought the sonic continuity we have been striving for since day one. I'm really proud of the dudes for steppin' up." "We've also got some video coming up soon," Lamont added. "It's our version of [Metallica documentary] 'Some Kind Of Monster' Awh shit!" "Transmutations" was produced by Sanford Parker (Pelican, Minsk), who made a guest appearance on the band's last release, "Samsara." A fall release through Prosthetic Records is expected.
