Those cheerful guys in Slayer will soon be releasing their eighth studio album. On September 11th, fans will be able to purchase the band's new record, 'God Hates Us All'. The effort was actually recorded last winter in Vancouver with producer Matt Hyde. Originally set for a July release, American Recordings owner and producer Rick Rubin took two of the tracks into the studio and remixed them. The band was so happy with the results, it was decided that Rubin would remix most of the remaining tracks, therefore the album's release was delayed. As is often the case with fading (insert argument here) bands, Slayer is comparing the effort to everything they've ever done. Here's a quote from guitarist Jeff Hanneman regarding the new songs: "They sound amazing. Rick [Rubin] gets this great bass drum sound that only he can get. This album has the sound of 'Reign in Blood,' and 'South of Heaven,' the clarity of 'Seasons in the Abyss,' and is as intense as any Slayer album."
