Uprising Records signs two bands

Uprising Records has announced the addition of two bands to its roster, officially signing both I Am The Ocean and Underminded. Hailing from Salt Lake City, Utah, I Am The Ocean is a rock band the label describes as "an iconoclastic 5 piece who masterfully weave epic song structures, interlacing heavy, unrelentingly savage attacks, with infectious vocal hooks, and mathematically precise – yet seemingly discordant–guitar riffs." The group's debut, "...And Your City Needs Swallowing," will be available in May. In the interim you can listen to two songs from the effort here. Meanwhile, San Diego outfit Underminded is a melodic hardcore band that released their debut in 2004 with Kung Fu Records. According to Uprising, the band is "known for their maelstrom of metal infused hardcore anthems, intelligent lyrics and punk rock ethic." Underminded's new album, titled "eleven:eleven," was recorded by Paul Miner (Thrice, Death By Stereo) and will hit streets this summer. You can listen to them here.
