Shattered Realm has been in the studio as of late recording a new album. The group has essentially finished tracking and will mix the effort tomorrow. The album, which hasn't yet been titled, was recorded at Landmine Sound and will feature artwork by Pete Salepas and Ian Rowan. The material will consist of twelve new songs in addition to a song from the group's first EP, which has been reworked and re-recorded. Lambgoat spoke with guitarist/vocalist Joe None this afternoon about the recording process:
"It's going awesome. We have been having the most fun of anytime we have ever been in the studio. There is a place down the street that has deep fried hot dogs, which I've never heard of. so basically this album is going to be powered by deep fried hotdogs. We had Jon Blake from On Broken Wings come down to do some guest vocals on a track and it's amazing. We also have our original singer Chris coming in. We wanted to do something seldom done; have our old singer appear on the new record. I think it's a cool idea and also shows everyone that we are still friends... kids always wonder what happens to ex-band members."
Look for the album to hit stores in November via Eulogy Recordings
