Zao news and notes

Zao kicked off their UK tour with Bleeding Through last week. However, they did so without drummer, Stephen Peck, who joined the group prior to their "The Funeral Of God" album. According to the band, "Stephen Peck has decided that he is no longer financially able to be in a touring band like Zao, which does not make much money. He said that he would like the fans to know that he 'loved playing drums for ZAO' and 'being in a band with my friends,' and that the decision was 'very difficult.'" Longtime group friend Jeff Gretz is currently filling in and will appear on all of the band's upcoming summer dates (including dates on the Strhess and Warped tours). Meanwhile, the group will write a new album this fall, which will see the light of day next year via Ferret Music. Additionally, the band is also working on a "career-spanning" DVD, the details of which will be forthcoming.
