Canadian hardcore outfit Mil-Spec visited the Audiotree studios in Chicago this past November and have shared their performance.
Audiotree offered the following about the band and performance:
Hailing from Toronto, Canada, Mil-Spec reimagines what it is to be a DIY hardcore band with their refreshing balance of power and melody. Their 2023 album 'Marathon' got fans spin-kicking in the mosh pit to their visceral lyrics and ferocious instrumentals. Keeping in step with the prevalence of experimentation within modern hardcore, they even dabbled in downtempo trance on their track "Belle Époque," a poetic, gut-wrenching ode to the late Riley Gale of Power Trip. Mil-Spec's live performance highlights the band's raw energy and electrifying talent, supercharging their pummeling hardcore riffs with a three-strong guitar section. During their interview with Audiotree Host, Psalm One, the band chats about being notoriously offline, finding creative ways to reach fans, and Portillo's.
