Former Mr. Bungle saxophonist Theo Lengyel found guilty of first-degree murder
Former Mr. Bungle member Theo Lengyel has been found guilty of first-degree murder for the killing of his girlfriend, Alice "Alyx" Kamakaokalani Herrmann. Lengyel, who was a prime suspect from the start, was arrested earlier this year following a manhunt.
The verdict came after just one day of jury deliberation, and Lengyel now faces life in prison with sentencing scheduled for next month. Key evidence included a late-discovered recording on Herrmann's cellphone, which captured the violent altercation leading to her death. Lengyel's prior history of domestic violence was also brought up during the trial.
