Falling In Reverse's 'Popular Monster' certified Gold in U.S. following it's release in August
Falling In Reverse has achieved another milestone with their latest album, Popular Monster, earning a gold certification from the RIAA. This marks their second gold album, further solidifying their impact on the alternative metal scene. Released this past August, Popular Monster quickly hit #12 on the Billboard 200, moving over 30,929 units in its first week.
The album reached a total of 723,000 album equivalent units in the U.S. by its second week, thanks to a series of hit singles that had already built momentum since 2019.
Notably, the title track "Popular Monster"—which first dropped in 2019—was certified 2x multi-platinum in December. Other singles like "Voices In My Head", "Zombified", and "Watch The World Burn" also received gold status individually before the album's certification.
In the U.S., gold certification represents 500,000 units, while platinum signifies 1,000,000 units, factoring in digital sales and streams, with 10 track downloads or 1,500 on-demand streams equivalent to one album unit, which the album could very well see in the future.
Following the release of Popular Monster, Falling In Reverse also earned the following accolades from Billboard:
