Opeth delay release of new album, 'The Last Will & Testament', til November
Swedish prog legends Opeth have announced that the release of their highly anticipated 14th studio album, The Last Will & Testament, has been postponed to November 22, 2024. The delay is due to unforeseen issues in the manufacturing process.
Frontman Mikael Åkerfeldt comments:
We strive to deliver the highest quality product possible, and to achieve that, we need a bit more time to ensure the final release meets our standards. We understand this may come as a disappointment, but we sincerely appreciate your patience and continued support. We can't wait to share this new music with you, and we are confident it will be worth the wait.

Post CommentBetter yet, cancel the new album outright and tour with songs from 2008 or earlier.
It's probably so they can re-record with more death growls!
anonymous 2 hours ago It's probably so they can re-record with more death growls! Hopefully! Because the second single did nothing for me because it was more of their post 2008 prog revival crap.
I'm 68 years old. I was at Chicago 86' Show. Great Times! I listen to Metallica every time I have sex. I Love it. My husband likes them too. I'm gay.

Some interview with Mikael was like "are we all just death growls to you?", something along those lines and I'll be the first one to say ...yes, you are.
