Foo Fighters' Dave Grohl announces he had a baby outside of his marriage

Foo Fighters frontman Dave Grohl, 55, revealed today September 10th on social media that he has fathered a child outside of his marriage. Grohl is married to Jordyn Blum, 41, whom he met in 2001 and married in 2003.

Grohl issued an announcement addressing the situation publicly on his Instagram account. In the post, he gave a short statement on the matter and shared his plans to be a supportive parent to her. He also mentioned his commitment to working through the issues with his wife and expressed hope for rebuilding trust within his family.

Grohl wrote:

I've recently become the father of a new baby daughter, born outside of my marriage. I plan to be a loving and supportive parent to her. I love my wife and my children, and I am doing everything I can to regain their trust and earn their forgiveness. We're grateful for your consideration toward all the children involved, as we move forward together.
