Foo Fighters set the record straight on Trump's usage of "My Hero" during recent rally

Foo Fighters have slammed the use of their 1997 track "My Hero" by both Donald Trump and Robert F. Kennedy Jr. The song played at an August 23rd rally in Glendale, AZ, where Kennedy Jr. suspended his campaign and threw his support behind Trump. The track blared as Trump brought Kennedy Jr. on stage.
When asked about allowing the song's usage by the former president on X (formerly Twitter), the band responded simply with "No".
A spokesperson told Billboard.com that the band was not asked previously for permission to use the song by the Trump's team and also mentioned that "appropriate actions are being taken". Any royalties received as a result of the usage will be given the the Harris 2024 campaign.
