Saint Vitus in Brooklyn, NY has closed down, lapse in codes seem to be the cause

The iconic Saint Vitus bar/venue in Brooklyn, NY has closed its doors for good. The legendary venue was shut down by the New York City Department Of Buildings (DOB) during a Mindforce show on February 16. 

Since then, Saint Vitus had been hosting events under the name "Saint Vitus Presents" at various locations across the city and hinted at a possible reopening. Saint Vitus took to Instagram to confirm they are indeed closed. The loss of Saint Vitus is a significant blow to the metal and punk scenes in Brooklyn. 

According to sources close to Lambgoat, it looks like the closure of Saint Vitus might have been avoidable, with the blame spread across multiple parties, including possible issues with the building owner and codes. More details will likely emerge as the situation unfolds.
