Over the weekend Chicago, IL post-metal outfit Pelican shared a few clips from the band's upcoming release via social media for a short period with the caption:
Pelican. 6.30.24. Long weekend of rehearsals. Sharpening riffs. Nine songs ready for what the future holds.
The clips, which unfortunately are no longer available, were part of the band's rehearsals over the weekend. From the update, Pelican seem to getting pretty close to entering the studio to work on their previously announced seventh and "best" album as the band put it back in April.
LP7 will be the first new album from the band since 2019's Nighttime Stories and also feature founding guitarist Laurent Schroeder-Lebec, who rejoined Pelican in 2022.
