Jinjer share recent Audiotree in-studio performance

Ukrainian progressive metal band Jinjer is the focus of today's (June 25th) new episode of Audiotree's 'From Nothing' series. The in-studio session and interview were recorded in Chicago, IL on August 31st, 2023.

Audiotree shared the following regarding the performance and interview:

When Jinjer first began, their circumstances were uniquely challenging. Hailing from the small town of Gorlovka, Donbass in Ukraine, the band has spent the last 15 years climbing the ranks to become one of the greatest forces in modern metal. Their sound is riddled with off-kilter chord progressions, unconventional melodies, and glued together by the band's lyricist and singer, Tatiana Shmayluk, who's personal and in-the-moment approach to songwriting creates a powerful sense of presence in all of her recordings.

The group has undergone a lot of transformation, but their commitment to their core unit is not one of them, expressing "it's hard to imagine being a part of any other band." Touching on themes of social anxiety, isolation, cancel-culture, self-realization, and trauma, Jinjer leaves no stone unturned. What struck us the most was their no-bullshit attitude, which in turn gave way to a no-bullshit performance.

We are proud to present one of the most compelling bands in modern metal: Jinjer, on Audiotree From Nothing!
