Sailing Before The Wind vocalist Ryoichi Suemori steps down

Sailing Before The Wind

Japanese metalcore band Sailing Before The Wind recently shared news of the departure of their vocalist Ryoichi Suemori, who fronted the band for almost 10 years.

In a statement posted to social media, the band acknowledged any concerns caused by the recent lack of updates on their social media before this announcement.

Sailing Before The Wind will proceed with temporary vocalists for upcoming shows, and the band also promised new music and that tours will proceed as planned.

The band shared:

Our vocalist Ryoichi has stepped down from his position in Sailing Before The Wind. We apologize for the concern we caused to our fans and the recent silence that has overtaken our social media outlets leading up to this announcement. We spoke to him directly and apologized for the problems we had with the way we said to him which was poorly phrased. We thank him for being a part of SBTW for almost a decade.

We will perform the following 4 shows with fill-in vocalists.
5/31 Nagoya RADSEVEN
6/21 Nagoya DAYTRIP
6/23 Akabane ReNY alpha
7/04 Indonesia JakCloth

Sailing Before The Wind will carry on with new material and tours as planned. We have a lot of more new music coming your way this year as well. Thank you all for understanding and sticking with us.
