Yesterday the Chicago, IL post-metal outfit Pelican shared that that completed the writing process for their seventh studio album.
In a brief Twitter post the band shared:
Great news, friends. We have finished writing our seventh and possibly best album. There's still a long road ahead of rehearsing, demoing, and recording, but we are so amped on what we've come up with and can't wait to share. More to come.

I like how they actually wrote it before going to the studio. And how they are going to practice and demo before recording. It's like they are professional musicians who actually give a f*ck about their music. Unlike other bands like In Flames who just go to the studio with a couple riffs and get drunk for 3 weeks. These Pelican guys have my attention. Haven't listened to their last few but I will check them out.
