Meadows is back with their second album, Familiar With Pain, following their successful debut, In Those Days & Also After. The album is set for release on March 29, Good Friday through Facedown Records.

Familiar With Pain is a concept album that systematically explores the thoughts and themes from Palm Sunday to the crucifixion on Good Friday. The album delves into each moment in the narrative, emphasizing Jesus' foresight of the challenges ahead and his deliberate choice to endure them for humanity.

Today, Meadows drops the album's two lead singles, "Barabbas (Silence of Innocence)" and "Old Friend, New Leaf." These singles showcase the band's distinctive blend of modern hardcore, incorporating melodic rock and atmospheric guitars with a nod to classic hardcore influences.

"Barrabas" gets straight to the core, both musically and lyrically. The aim was to capture the essence of a crowd consumed by envy, delivered through its impactful heaviness. The song, in many ways, serves as a cautionary tale, prompting introspection by depicting a crowd so consumed by envy and unforgiveness that they'd prefer to embrace wrath and chaos, even with the accompanying pain, rather than considering the option of accepting offered grace.

On the other hand, "Old Friend, New Leaf" serves as a reminder that enduring friendships and community are the driving forces propelling us toward growth, exceeding what we could achieve alone. The song underscores the importance of fostering connections and prioritizing others over oneself. Drawing inspiration from themes within the Last Supper of Jesus with His disciples, this punchy track is best enjoyed in the company of both new and old friends.
