Domain bassist Shane Nerenberg and Derek Zipp to revive Mean Pete Kowalsky's record label
In a move to honor the legacy of "Mean" Pete Kowalsky, the late co-founder of Dead Truth Recordings, co-founder Derek Zipp and Domain bassist Shane Nerenberg are making strides to revive the Boward County-based label.
Originally conceived as a platform for friends to press their music onto physical media, Dead Truth Recordings carried releases from Derek and Pete's circle of friends, as well as Pete's personal musical endeavors.
Following Kowalsky's untimely passing, Zipp and Nerenberg are taking the reins with a new vision for the label's future. Determined to continue the duo's original mission and provide a platform for emerging DIY bands.
Nerenberg shared the following:
Peter's friendship and guidance shaped who I am as a man today. My hopes with this are to continue celebrating his memory and giving back to our community.
