Pantera's Phil Anselmo: "I know for a damn fact Vince and Dime would want us to do this, hands down"

In a recent appearance on The Metallica Report podcast, Philip H. Anselmo and Rex Brown, members of the reformed Pantera, shared their experiences about the ongoing M72 tour.
Anselmo expressed the empowering feeling of performing, talking through the change in perspective from their earlier years of anger and conflict on stage. He also commended Charlie Benante and Zakk Wylde for their enthusiasm and for carrying on the legacies of Vinnie Paul and Dimebag Darrell.
Brown appreciated Charlie's uncanny ability to replicate Vinnie Paul's drumming and noted the significant Pantera-like sound he was able to master. When prompted about the band's continuation with Dimebag and Vinnie Paul's "spirit," Anselmo doubled down on his certainty that the late members would support the band's decision.
Anselmo said:
Only thing I can say is, man, I know for a damn fact Vince and Dime would want us to do this, hands down. They would want the Pantera brand or the legacy to go on. And I don't know what you believe in, but sometimes, you know, you would like to think that them old fellas are looking down on us, giving us the thumbs-up.
