Escuela Grind announce 'DDEEAATHHMMEETTAALL' EP, share "Ball and Chain" music video

Escuela Grind

Escuela Grind, the New England extreme metal act, will release their new EP, DDEEAATHHMMEETTAALL, on January 12, 2024, through MNRK Heavy

The EP features four new tracks, including a guest appearance by Napalm Death vocalist Barney Greenway

The band's vocalist, Katerina Economou, describes the EP:

'DDEEAATHHMMEETTAALL' is the third installment of our EP series where we dive into the genres that most influence this band," offers Escuela Grind vocalist Katerina Economou. "Finishing this trilogy has been years in the works. We are so excited to release these songs as they are perhaps the best reflection of our live performance. The stage has honed these hectic songs to perfection. Originally we were going to have three songs on this EP, but we wanted to create another track that had a huge buildup. This eventually developed into this brutal song, "Ball and Chain", that marks the point in our live shows where we have a wall of death every night. Lyrically, it references death metal tropes of murder and revenge, but with a decidedly feminine angle.

The band has also released a new video for "Ball and Chain," directed by Michael Jari Davidson.

Escuela Grind's full-length LP, Memory Theater, received acclaim, and the band is currently on a European tour with Napalm Death.

2024 tour dates are expected to be announced soon.

DDEEAATHHMMEETTAALL EP tracklisting:

  1. Ball and Chain (Watch VIDEO)
  2. Punishment Ritual
  3. Abyssal Plane
  4. Meat Magnet (w/ Napalm Death's Barney Greenway)

Why's every "death metal" band have to have a chick in it now? Is this a Disney movie or something?

Better be prepared to release an album every year for five years like suicidal tendencies or your band is worthless
