Drain frontman Sammy Ciaramitaro speaks on Riot Fest performance

Prior to their appearance at Furnace Fest, Drain was slated to perform in Chicago, IL at Riot Fest. During the performance, as Drain usually does, they instruct the audience to join them on stage for a good hardcore time.
Though hardcore bands are invited to perform at the event periodically, it is safe to say that the event is not super familiar to hardcore. That being said, when Drain's frontman Sammy Ciaramitaro called for fans to jump the barricade and join them on stage, things escalated quickly.
In a post-performance interview with Q101 Chicago, Ciaramitaro explains that their performance was not only their first time being a part of Riot Fest but could also be their last due to the incident. Ciaramitaro expressed his love for the event, that they didn't mean any trouble, and exclaimed about the band's live performance and introducing people to the genre.
