Sound and Fury 2023 showcases hardcore at its best despite challenges from authority

Sound and Fury kicked things into high gear this weekend after a week-long lead-up of events. The weekend culminated in what was akin to a religious gathering for hardcore. Held at Exposition Park in Los Angeles, California, the event seemed to go off very well overall with bands and fans alike singing its praises. 

Before the weekend began, in a last-minute decision by the Los Angeles Fire Marshall during an inspection, festival organizers were forced into a stage setup change, resulting in an unsecured metal barricade placed between fans and bands. Sound and Fury festival organizers were eventually able to work with authorities to lower, then remove the barricades altogether for day two, resulting in a much safer environment for the bands and fans in attendance. 

Throughout today, we've attempted to find proof of each band in attendance. Many full sets, clips, and photos are available for your viewing pleasure below. We've ordered them by day, stage, and set time. At the end of the article, we've included a bonus episode of a live HardLore podcast episode that kicked off the week's events.
