Post Commentman, these guys used to be a lot more creative....each release they continually go downhill and get more repetitive.
re-releasing an album that came out within the last year seems like overkill to me. good band though
good band, but we'll see what the next album sounds like. i can't get into the last one at all, and the fourth plague, albeit too short, is one of my favorites of all time.
i agree that the fourth plague: flies was a better album than a great artist and i hope that they rollback towards this sound with this new album. but i won't go as far to say that a great arist was bad.
you gotta listen to a great artist a lot to get into it. honestly. granted it may not be their best or anything super creative, but it's a good disc if you listen to it a lot more.
each song is a riff (which sounds exactly like the riff from the previous song) for 4 minutes. bad.
Good for them, they deserve getting big because they are very good and they tour a lot
it's about time ferret did something good. it's been a few years. meshuggah is a great band.
alol is great, a great artist was a good cd, and i agree you have to listen to it more to like it, it's heavy, but yeah the fourth plague was their best stuff
This seems like an unnecessary move. A Great Artist is a great album, but re-releasing it? Who doesn't have it that is going to buy the re-release?
Good group of guys that work really hard. They deserve whatever break they get. I think Ferret will shove them down kids throats and I think they've earned it.
being from around philadelphia i've seen these guys live way too much. i hate them. all of their riffs sound the same. hopefully they'll work on that problem on the new cd.
i'm going out on a limb to say ferret has the best current lineup in hardcore right now.
i got it...lets hope ferret doesn't utterly ruin such a great band. does anyone else think that open your mouth for the speechless absolutely fcking rules?
xtodayithawx: thats about the only album from them i can listen to. a great artist is pretty bad. they suck live too.
i think the ALOL is awesome. A Great Artist is pretty good stuff. Very Meshuggah influenced but i think they do alright with it. sick drummer.

and ya i have to agree 'open..' is the only album i like from them
