Saint Vitus Bar: The First 10 Years, An Oral and Visual History, written and pieced together by esteemed photographer, director and Saint Vitus colleague Nathaniel Shannon, is a massive 346-page deep dive, collaged archive, exploring the origins, early foundation, and legacy of the first decade of the four black walls of NYC's 1120 Manhattan Avenue.

With over 100 contributors, The First Ten Years kicks off with a foreword from Walter Schreifels of Quicksand and moves into interviews, stories, and anecdotes from artists, fans, journalists, agents and beyond including: Dave Mustaine of Megadeth, Trevor Strnad of The Black Dahlia Murder, Jeff Walker of Carcass, Bill Stevenson of Descendents, Charlie Benante of Anthrax, Laura Jane Grace of Against Me!, Frank Turner, Mike IX Williams of Eyehategod, Dan Greene and Adam Vallely of The Armed, Andi Herriman of Synthicide, author Chuck Klosterman, actress Jessica Pimentel, chef Chris Santos and more.
The First Ten Years also includes never-before-seen photographs of legendary performances and events such as the Nirvana reunion, Tony Iommi, Descendents, Chelsea Wolfe, Anthrax, Deafheaven, Megadeth, Johnny Rotten, and more. Setlists, clippings and other miscellaneous ephemera from the bar's history shower its pages including archived posters from Converge, Bjork (DJ set), Peter Hook, Marked Men, Harvey Milk, Windhand, Saves The Day, Every Time I Die, Nothing, Poison Idea, High on Fire, Neurosis, Trivium, Sleep, King Woman, and so many more.

Why spend your own money when there are enough dopes out there who would give you the money? Hardcore does it all the time e.g. that loser Walter Delgado from Rotting Out. He tears a tendon deadlifting cuz he's like 43 but still thinks he's 23, now he has a GoFundMe asking for 10K & idiot simps have donated 5.7K so far. He could be lying for all we know.
