Architects part ways with Josh Middleton
According to the band the split was amicable, and they wish him the best
Architects have officially parted ways with guitarist Josh Middleton. According to the band the split was amicable, and the members of Architects remain close friends with Middleton, who played an instrumental role in keeping the band going after the death of former guitarist Tom Searle in 2016. Middleton was added to the band in 2017 and has been with them since. Middleton is also a founding member of the band Sylosis, pre-dating his time in Architects.
Architects expressed their gratitude towards Middleton for his contributions to the band and wished him the best in his future endeavors. As of yet, there is no word from Architects on a replacement. Middleton has been working on new material with Sylosis.
The band shared:
"It is with a heavy heart that we announce Josh's time in the band has come to an end. It has gradually become apparent that we need to go our separate ways, but we remain close friends.
Josh was a life raft for the band after we lost Tom and he gave us a way to keep the band alive through the hardest experience or our lives. We will always be grateful to him for that.
We wish him the best in his future endeavours and we suggest that everyone keeps an eye out for the new Sylosis record later this year."
