Pantera has Vienna show canceled

Pantera 2022

Earlier this week Pantera were removed from the Rock am Ring and Rock In The Park lineups due to an uproar of disgruntled fans and attendees. The band has now had their Vienna concert canceled. The band was scheduled to play Gasometer in Vienna, Austria on May 31. As of now, no reason has been given.

However, one can expect most of if not all the negative outcries come from the 2016 infamous "white wine" incident, in which Pantera frontman Phil Anselmo threw out a nazi salute and made unsettling remarks.

The following is a translated post given out by the promoter of the event:

PANTERA concert on the 31st May 2023 at the Vienna Gasometer will be canceled.
All tickets can be returned where they were purchased.
Thank you for your understanding.
