Big Laugh announce debut album, share video

"Consume Me" releases on February 10, 2023 on Revelation Records

Big Laugh

Official press release:

Hailing from Milwaukee, WI, Big Laugh are unleashing an energetic blast of creative hardcore. Today the band announces their debut full-length, Consume Me, set for release February 10th on Revelation Records. Lead single "Mask" kicks things off in a minute and a half of fast-punk guitars and snarling vocals, with a groove-heavy breakdown. The video for the song compiles together live footage, giving an inkling as to what fans can expect when the band heads out on tour with Gel in early 2023.

Recorded with producer Matt Russell at Altered States studio in Chicago, Consume Me bends genres and refuses to stick to tired formulas, taking nods from other Midwest greats like Husker Du and Die Kreuzen. Self-described "punks who listen to Judge," Big Laugh work in a wide array of influences - from the blazing speed and harsh noises of Japanese rippers like Gauze and Bastard to the mosh-ready impact of NYHC bands like Burn and Alone In A Crowd, and even some melodic sensibilities akin to the aforementioned Husker Du. The album's lyrics hit close to home for the band, holding personal notions while still feeling outwardly relatable. It follows the band's 2020 EP, Manic Revision (11PM Records), which Revelation has also announced a vinyl reissue for.

Consume Me tracklist:

1. Artificial Peace
2. Abomination
3. Square One
4. Mask
5. Animosity
6. Shadow Figure
7. Consume Me
8. Last Laugh
9. Blowin' Smoke
10. The Fall

There are like ten people who read this website I hate distortion on vocals like that

anonymous 12/17/2022 1:44:29 PM

👆 10 people? 🤣 I wouldn't do the site if "10 people" read it; I have the numbers, and what I made last quarter (July-Sept) would actually surprise you.

anonymous 12/17/2022 2:18:50 PM

^ Lurk is also the person posting all of the "work from home" spam posts, and this is where most of the money comes from.

anonymous 12/17/2022 2:45:12 PM

Why would I delete them? If anyone here wants to make money 💰💰💰, whether it be $145.76/month or $14,576/month, that is their prerogative.

anonymous 12/17/2022 3:00:56 PM

Every punk tard isn't rebellious enough to be against the vaxxie or the maskie, so I assume these queefs aren't either.

anonymous 12/17/2022 3:54:49 PM

^^ It is all to maintain the image that it isn't you posting them, trying to recover from this disaster of an investment.

anonymous 12/17/2022 3:56:45 PM

You are also always flaunting these mystery numbers, "if we only knew", so how about you start a thread in the forum with the details and documentation to show how awesome this site truly is and maybe people will stop doubting you.

Those official press releases are cringe af

anonymous 12/17/2022 5:25:37 PM

the fact someone is arguing with an anon and believing it's actually Lurk is objectively hilarious

anonymous 12/17/2022 5:57:58 PM

This would be garbage in the 80s, 90s, and 00s, and it's still garbage today.

anonymous 12/17/2022 6:13:08 PM

Consume deez nuts

anonymous 12/17/2022 7:35:42 PM

If you're putting out records on Revelation, a label that hasn't been the slightest bit relevant in 30 years, break up.

anonymous 12/17/2022 8:19:19 PM

Youth of Today is stoked.

anonymous 12/17/2022 8:19:43 PM

Great career move boys. This will lead to a long and financially secure career. I heard the label offers great health benefits and a generous 401k with match.

anonymous 12/17/2022 8:21:52 PM

Band will likely shower less than 50 times in total in 2023. I can already smell that picture.

anonymous 12/17/2022 8:46:00 PM

^^^You're being generous sir. I put that over/under closer to 25.

anonymous 12/17/2022 9:47:32 PM

Consume Big Loads

anonymous 12/17/2022 10:02:58 PM

anonymous 12/17/2022 10:28:02 PM

This band needs to check in with Fat Pat and FSU if they want to come to Philly.

anonymous 12/17/2022 10:34:59 PM

^ need to check in with Jesus Piece, who runs Philly.

anonymous 12/17/2022 11:08:51 PM

"This band needs to check in with Fat Pat and FSU if they want to come to Philly." anonymous 31 minutes ago "^ need to check in with Jesus Piece, who runs Philly." ^That bass player still bitching about the "OG" Merauder shit he bought off an old head that arrived without a tag?

anonymous 12/18/2022 12:09:19 AM

Rick is gonna be really triggered by the "mask" song tittle

anonymous 12/18/2022 10:11:51 AM

rick_tocchet 12/18/2022 10:58:54 AM

All the bullshit Philly talk and Philly is in its worse condition in over 40 years. Makes sense.

anonymous 12/18/2022 11:52:40 AM

rick_tocchet 12/18/2022 12:29:41 PM

So all the people passing out during the video are passing out because of the jab. Funny part is these assclowns are probably waiting on line for the next booster shot as I type this out. Oh wait, let me put my mask on before I mosh. This shit is next level cringe.

anonymous 12/18/2022 12:50:48 PM

Brendan Murphy from Counterparts here. Stop talking about my cat even thought it's all I whinge about, milked for donations, and wrote a song about on our new album. Also please use your inside voice at our shows, I need to unload my baggage on you guys in peace.

anonymous 12/18/2022 1:51:46 PM

Todd Jones here. Hi guys.

anonymous 12/18/2022 6:27:21 PM

LMAO for those that watched the video, was that a Christopher Columbus statue they threw into the water? There were a lot of degenerates in that crowd

anonymous 12/19/2022 12:54:06 PM

Literal joke of a band; and to make them worse obviously trying to play the "woke" card. Probably a bunch of choads who'd rather call the cops when confronted

anonymous 12/21/2022 5:21:35 PM

putting politics and fake pandemics aside, that song f*cking sucked.
