Pantera to reunite for the first time in 20 years

Surviving members looking forward to touring in 2023

Pantera Reunion

Update: It would appear that another name has appeared from the rumor mill. Anthrax's Charlie Benante's name has been tossed around as the fill in drummer for the trek. Though nothing is confirmed at this point.

It's been 20 years since Pantera has toured. Billboard reports that Philip Anselmo and bassist Rex Brown have signed a deal with Artist Group International to book the upcoming 2023 North American dates.

With both Abbott brothers (guitarist Dimebag Darell and drummer Vinne Paul) being deceased, it is still up in the air as to who will be joining Phil and Rex on the road.

Speaking on that topic Phil had the following to say:

"I'm open for anything. And Rex and I, we are in touch and we talk. We're friends and everything's cool, so I keep an open mind. We'll see in the future."

It should be noted that a long-time rumor of Black Label Society's Zakk Wylde joining the band has been swirling around since 2014. Though the rumor did receive new blood when Phil spoke about the possibility of it happening in a 2019 interview. However, there is no concrete evidence to support it happening, ...yet.
