Dawn Of Ouroboros sign with Prosthetic Records, release new video
Official press release:
Prosthetic Records are excited to announce the signing of blackened progressive metal act Dawn Of Ouroboros, ahead of the Oakland, CA quintet's forthcoming May - June US tour alongside labelmates Tómarúm. Alongside the signing announcement Dawn Of Ouroboros have shared a live music video of "Sorrow's Eclipse," taken from their debut album, The Art of Morphology.
Speaking on their freshly inked deal and upcoming live dates the band comments: "After the surprise success of our debut album we are proud about our signing to Prosthetic Records for our follow-up. Prosthetic is of course a label with a long distinguished history who has a reputation for supporting groundbreaking bands. We are truly grateful for their support in the music we create and hope to have a long relationship as we continue our musical exploration. We are also proud to announce our second album is complete, and are excited to share our continuation of our 'no rules' approach to progressive metal when the time comes. Until then, we plan to spend 2022 first touring with our new label mates Tómarúm, as well as performing as much as possible."
Founded by guitarist Tony Thomas (Botanist, Cailleach Calling) and vocalist Chelsea Manning (Tegmentum, Cailleach Calling), Dawn Of Ouroboros' solidified line up of bassist David Scanlon (Deliria) and drummer Ron Bertrand (Botanist, Red Rot) pull European black and post-black metal influence.
Having caught the attention of Prosthetic with their highly praised 2020 debut full-length, The Art of Morphology, Dawn Of Ouroboros are currently preparing their sophomore album and first to be released via the Los Angeles label - with more news to follow in due course. Following Western US touring in September 2021 and the addition of rhythm guitarist Ian Baker (Red Rot), the group plan to continue to tour Stateside throughout 2022 and 2023.
