Lamb Of God drop off tonight's show after Chimaira's Mark Hunter falls ill
Illness has struck the band yet again.
After Lamb Of God vocalist Randy Blythe tested positive for Covid last weekend, Mark Hunter of Chimaira took the throne as vocalist while Blythe continues to recuperate. Illness has struck the band yet again Thursday, as Hunter is now ill (non-Covid), forcing Lamb Of God to cancel their performance in Fort Wayne, Indiana. Fans will still be able to watch Megadeth, Trivium, and In Flames tonight, the band noted.
Lamb Of God released the following late Thursday afternoon:
Fort Wayne - we made our best efforts to put on a show tonight but unfortunately it is just not possible. Mark Hunter went above and beyond to make the show happen for us Tuesday and unfortunately has fallen ill today (NOT Covid). We truly appreciate his efforts but it appears the universe has other plans for us. We are working hard to make the show happen tomorrow and will update our fans in Green Bay as soon as we can.
Megadeth, Trivium and In Flames will play as scheduled tonight.
Thank you for your patience and understanding.
You can watch some of Hunter's performance with Lamb Of God, as well as Matt Heafy of Trivium and Anders Fridén of In Flames — both of whom also helped fill in for the absent Blythe — here.
