Terror announce new album 'Pain Into Power', premiere song feat. Corpsegrinder of Cannibal Corpse
Hardcore veterans Terror will return with a new album titled Pain Into Power this spring. Produced and co-written by early Terror guitarist and Nails frontman Todd Jones, the effort will arrive on May 6 via Pure Noise Records.
Lead single "Can't Help But Hate," featuring Cannibal Corpse vocalist George "Corpsegrinder" Fisher, can be streamed here:
Vocalist Scott Vogel discussed Terror's work with Jones and the new track saying: "Todd is super intense and focused and analyzes all angles of songs and band situations. Sometimes I think he might know more about Terror than I do! Watching him create songs is inspiring because he was so invested in this album. And that was what we needed because Terror has done this so many times. This song is a fusion of Jordan and Todd Jones' riffs. Pushed forward by possibly the fastest drumming Terror has ever had. Lyrics that everyone can easily relate to while living in a world crashing deeper into insanity day after day. And of course the addition of Corpsegrinder's vocals makes this minute and twenty six second track super unique for Terror's eighth LP."

Long story short, but the title of the album "Pain Into Power" is a reference to a lil' game that Jared Fogle and I played while writing the album together in an abandoned insecticide silo at Yamamoto Farms near Oxnard. It all started by licking our thumb/pointer fingers, holding different gauge guitar strings, and inserting them into outdated 1950s two-pronged outlets that we found in and around the silo. Before long, Fogle and I had collectively devolved the game to the point that we were hitting a live, unearthed/unsheathed electrical wire with a 40-lb sledge while a copy of Gastunk's Dead Song played on an old turntable on top of an '80s TV playing white static. It all went south when Fogle upped the ante and squirted 5 liters of Mortein Flytox on the line and Gallagher'ed the hell out of it. Let's just say that Fogle now goes by the name ARCTANAX and Terror is merely a vessel with which he can spread his message of desolation. LATERED. He will never be one of us.

The new Skarhead video "Defiance" is utterly horrible. Like it's really really bad. I don't care what any of you say, Skarhead's discography was solid (aside from cover album). Drugs Music Sex, their last real album (2009) was heavy as hell, even brutal at times if you go past the first 2 singles. The first new song in 13 years "Defiance" , is extremely weak in every aspect. Very poor production, especially on his vocals. The guys who wrote the entire record aren't even in the video or the band. Zack Thorne (Bulldoze), and White Owl (Ex-Skarhead). The video is so cheesy. Where's the DMS crew at? Nowhere to be found in that video. I'm not sure what he was thinking getting with those Force 5 Records nu-metal/juggalos. Dude who owns label is also his manager, AND 2nd front man for live shows.
