'Bigfoot metal band' Troglodyte announce new album, debut lead single

Official press release:

Bigfoot-inspired death metal band Troglodyte has re-emerged from the Missouri wilderness with their newest bloody slab of brutality, The Hierarchical Ecological Succession: Welcome to the Food Chain.

The album's first single comes in the form of an 8-bit lyric video for the song "Meat Your Maker," featuring guest vocals by Ross Sewage (Exhumed, Ghoul, Impaled). Ross had this to say about his contribution, "I was pleased as punch when the mutants in Troglodyte asked me to be a part of their music track, 'Meat Your Maker.' This was in fact because they punched me, repeatedly, until I meekly gurgled out my parts. Don't fuck with Troglodyte."

"Meat Your Maker" is also available on all streaming platforms.

The band's long-awaited fourth album features a rouge's gallery of names from the metal community. Origin bassist Mike Flores, who has taken part in numerous live shows with the band for years, is making his first studio appearance, writing and recording bass on the new album. Brent Purgason (aka Pustulus Maximus of Gwar) and Shawn Knight (Child Bite) also make guest appearances.

Blood Blast Distribution will release The Hierarchical Ecological Succession: Welcome to the Food Chain on all streaming platforms on March 5.

The Hierarchical Ecological Succession: Welcome to the Food Chain was recorded and mixed by Ryan Vincent/Apollo Audio Alt (Misery Index, Scour). Album artwork by Dusty Peterson (Cattle Decapitation, Six Feet Under, Lamb of God).
