More than a year after revealing plans to change their name due to its racial connotations, post-hardcore quintet Slaves have now announced that their new name is Rain City.
The band explains: "It was in Manchester, England aka Rainy City, that the five of us met. Our new name - Rain City - is a nod to the serendipity that brought us together and a reminder to keep looking up even when there's a cloud overhead. Thank you to all the fans that have stuck around!"
