Iced Earth's Jon Schaffer pleads guilty to two charges

Iced Earth founder and guitarist Jon Schaffer has reportedly agreed to plead guilty for his role in the U.S. Capitol riot on January 6. The 53-year-old musician was arrested on January 17 and has been jailed since. According to Blabbermouth, Schaffer will plead guilty to two charges and is expected to enter into a cooperation agreement with the government. Originally cited for six charges, Schaffer will apparently plead guilty to the following two: "Obstruction of an Official Proceeding," and "Entering and Remaining in a Restricted Building or Grounds with a Deadly or Dangerous Weapon." Further details are not yet available.
