Peaceville Records founder terminally ill, donations sought
Paul "Hammy" Halmshaw, founder of British heavy metal record label Peaceville Records, has revealed that he's terminally ill.
"After a life in music I became seriously ill in lockdown. I found out I had hereditary dilated cardiomyopathy, which is terminal," says Halmshaw.
Decibel reports that a fundraising campaign has been launched to make Halmshaw's home more accessible in light of his reduced mobility.
Launched in 1987, Peaceville has released material from such bands as At The Gates, Napalm Death, Opeth, Paradise Lost, Cradle Of Filth, and Behemoth, among many others.
