The Browning slam Earache Records over unpaid royalties
The first two albums from The Browning were released by Earache Records and today vocalist Jonny McBee took to Twitter to admonish the label for failing to pay proper royalties.
Additionally, the two aforementioned albums, Burn This World (2011) and Hypernova (2013), haven't been available available via digital music services for nearly five years, obviously depriving both the band and label of additional payments.
McBee had the following to say about royalties: "Yo, EaracheRecords, you know what would really help with the instability of my career? If you paid me the back royalties you owed me. I lost so much due to COVID and haven't been able to finish my little house for my family to live in. Sure would help if you paid whats owed."
For what it's worth, Earache Records has apparently blocked The Browning's official Twitter account.
Since @earacherecords is so now concerned about the well being of musicians, why don't you all ask if they can give the rights to all the bands music they removed for no reason. Or are they going to continue adding to the problem of instability and greed within the industry. pic.twitter.com/NaJRkqFkaW
