French death metal veterans Benighted have revealed that vocalist Julien Truchan has tested positive for COVID-19. The news comes as the band release their latest studio album, Obscene Repressed, which arrives today (April 10) via Season of Mist.
Benighted had the following to say this week: "Our vocalist Julien Truchan has been tested positive for the COVID-19 virus. Unfortunately he contracted the virus during his volunteer work in a Covid medical department. We wish him strength and good recovery!"
Meanwhile, Truchan offered this information: "My friends, I hope you are all fine. I just learnt after few weeks working in Covid department that I contracted it. I will of course stay home and rest because I feel pretty weak and can't work anymore from now. Please take good care of you and respect quarantine for you and for everyone around you."
