Alexi Laiho launches new band Bodom After Midnight

Last fall, three members of Children of Bodom exited the band, leaving just guitarist/vocalist Alexi Laiho and guitarist Daniel Freyberg. Not long thereafter, it came to light that Laiho would be unable to continue using the band name without permission from the three departed members. Because said permission has apparently not been granted, Laiho has now launched a new band called Bodom After Midnight. The new band features Laiho and Freyberg in addition to drummer Waltteri Väyrynen (Paradise Lost) and bassist Mitja Toivonen. You can watch a video introduction below. Bodom After Midnight will play select festival appearances later this year, after which they'll begin work on new material.
