Slayer play final concert, Tom Araya bids emotional farewell
Slayer's protracted farewell tour came to an end last night in the band's hometown of Los Angeles, California. Following their performance of final song, "Angel of Death," Slayer remained on stage for roughly ten minutes, taking photos and absorbing adulation from the crowd.
Araya eventually addressed the crowd with a final goodbye:
"Thank you. Thank you very much. I want to thank you for sharing your time with us. Time is precious, so I want to thank you for sharing that time with us. I'm gonna miss you guys. But the most important thing is I want to thank you for being a part of my life. Goodnight. You guys be safe."
