Official press release:
Ante Up have paved their way through the rugged Detroit scene and elevated themselves to be internationally recognized as a prominent metallic hardcore juggarnaut. After a successful European tour in 2018, Ante Up is back and ready to deliver their best recording since the band's inception. Their sound continues to evolve into a beefy metal infused hardcore cross-over style, fueled by their thrash metal and hardcore roots. On December 13th, Ante Up release T.I.M.E. (Time Is My Enemy) on Upstate Records.
Crit (vocals) reflects on the inspiration behind T.I.M.E., "This EP came from the truth of life, and the fact that time itself is always taken for granted. Once it's gone, it's gone and we cannot forget that. Making memories, doing the things we love, living life, can all be taken away without warning. In the end, time is and will always be my enemy."
Upstate Records, Mario Cangemi, adds, "I am really excited about T.I.M.E. It has a strong message behind the pummeling delivery amassed by Ante Up on their latest recording. It really brings all my favorite genres of heavy music into one solid recording".
T.I.M.E. was recorded by Ivan Fargo at Sound Shop Studios and mixed and mastered by Andy Nelson and Pete Grossman at the infamous Bricktop Studios in Chicago, Illinois.
