Of Mice & Men frontman undergoes surgery, shows canceled

When Of Mice & Men canceled four shows earlier this week due to a "medical situation," we speculated that the issue involved frontman Aaron Pauley, who had been hospitalized unexpectedly a month ago (though ultimately cleared and released). Indeed, the band have issued a new update in which they state that Pauley underwent urgent surgery of an undisclosed nature yesterday. The procedure was completed without incident, though Pauley will have to rest for at least two weeks. As such, the band will miss the first portion of their tour with Beartooth and hope to resume touring on April 27 in Houston, TX. Of Mice & Men issued this statement: "On Monday April 8th, Aaron because aware of a medical issue requiring immediate surgery. The surgery was performed yesterday without incident, and the issue is currently being evaluated. He has been advised that the absolute minimum recovery time is two weeks from today. Therefore we're sorry to report that we have no choice but to cancel the start of our dates with Beartooth. As it currently stands, we will now be starting the tour at So What Festival in Houston on April 27th." Meanwhile, Pauley himself relayed that he's "safe, healthy, happy, and on the mend": Pauley has also now stated that his surgery was unrelated to last month's episode:
