Cool Another tour no one asked for

anonymous 3/4/2019 1:25:36 PM

That NYC show will be moved to a smaller venue because Sick Of It All can't headline Irving Plaza anymore. That room will be half full or a little more. They need Snapcase. 'Way to tour with a band who made fun of 9/11 victims, SOIA (Slap Shot.) How much did Wisdom In Chains and Brick By Brick pay to play this tour?

anonymous 3/4/2019 1:35:27 PM

This tour shows Sick Of It All could care less about young current/active bands which they were one of once. Slap Shot = Around since 85 Snapcase = Around since 91, broke up in 01 Wisdom In Chains = Around since 05 Brick By Brick = Around since 06 Way to pay it forward SOIA.

anonymous 3/4/2019 1:39:04 PM

Slap Shot = Around since 85 I spent '85 - 2005 thinking their name was "Slaps Hot"

anonymous 3/4/2019 1:42:22 PM

Lol @ slapshot. Choke is pssy but acts tough

anonymous 3/4/2019 1:47:10 PM

Slap Shit with fake Bostonian Jack "Choke" Kelly who is from CAPE COD born and raised and lives there today. I mean if he was from say Lowell, ok, not Boston but not that culturally far off. Cape Cod is essentially an extension of coastal-western Connecticut. It's nowhere close to Boston culture. He was/is/always will be a fronter who was actually unofficially banned from playing Boston for "New York New York".

anonymous 3/4/2019 1:52:57 PM

Lol choke touring with SOIA, I've seen it all. Although if they play fck New York I'm on the first plane over there.

anonymous 3/4/2019 1:58:34 PM

"That NYC show will be moved to a smaller venue because Sick Of It All can't headline Irving Plaza anymore. That room will be half full or a little more. They need Snapcase." Snapcase currently draw wildly larger numbers than Sick of it All. Can't believe they agreed to open for them. SOIA have been totally out of touch with "new hardcore" for almost 20 years.

anonymous 3/4/2019 2:14:50 PM

Lol cape cod? And he talks all that shit with fck New York or in crossover sucks talking about people living in the suburbs like he's a a hard Boston gangster lmao

anonymous 3/4/2019 2:17:28 PM

Hate saying it, but Sick Of It All needs to call it a day. Everything since Death To Tyrants sounds all the same (I've heard Death... and Based On A True Story and a few songs since). And I'm certainly aware of their marquee value these days also.

anonymous 3/4/2019 2:22:12 PM

Snapcase currently draw wildly larger numbers than Sick of it All. Can't believe they agreed to open for them. >> They're stupid. If I'm Snapcase I tell SOIA "we want as much as you're getting cuz you don't fill up Irving Plaza without us." They should look at themselves as a dual headliner where the price to play before SOIA is to be paid the same as SOIA. What leverage would SOIA have over SC? None. Who would SOIA get?

anonymous 3/4/2019 2:30:09 PM

Yep Cape Cod. He is not from Boston or anywhere near it - never was or will be. He is total 100% Cape Cod which is Boston's Hamptons anyway you slice it. And he's not a townie/fishmonger Cape Codda either. That would be fine if he didn't front like a badass. The Freeze were from Cape Cod and never fronted (plus they were townies.) This guy fronted and still fronts.

anonymous 3/4/2019 2:34:07 PM

SOIA should've hung it up after Built To Last or definitely their first Fat Wreckords album released in 2000. They literally haven't put out an even halfway decent album in a quarter of a century. I defy them to go three years without playing anything off their first three albums. If they did that no one would go see them anymore. Their music after even the first album by and large blows.

anonymous 3/4/2019 2:38:08 PM

Fun/ny fact: Sick Of It All break up years ago if their wives didn't have jobs that pay more than what they (SOIA) make.

anonymous 3/4/2019 3:18:49 PM

Lol wow. And fck New York was only like 15 years ago and I think he's still on the whole Boston va New York scene. What a poser. They got some good songs at least

anonymous 3/4/2019 5:07:13 PM

only the oldest chodes will be at any of these.

anonymous 3/4/2019 5:38:20 PM

"And fck New York was only like 15 years ago and I think he's still on the whole Boston va New York scene. And fck New York was only like 15 years ago and I think he's still on the whole Boston va New York scene." Not really as his band was taken over by DMS and yeah, he was always an upper middle class Cape guy. Well, outside of the time he spent living in Boston as a hair stylist in a high end salon.

anonymous 3/4/2019 7:27:12 PM

I got my haircut by him once, he whispered all sorts of strange shit in my ear the entire time...something like..."Dudes that are deadbeat dads are stoked to be losers forever"

anonymous 3/5/2019 3:33:53 AM

"Boston's Hamptons" Most of Cape Cod is heroin addicts and illegal immigrants. I guess it's easy to think Cape Cod is all Nantucket and Martha's Vineyard when you go stay at your parents second beach home every summer LOL

anonymous 3/5/2019 4:17:11 AM

Cool tour if it was 1991

anonymous 3/5/2019 5:49:35 AM

Fight me in Philadelphia pussies, I'll be the guy in the camo pants and Madball hat.

anonymous 3/5/2019 6:04:12 AM

"Way to pay it forward SOIA." No one wanting to go see Sick Of It All and Snapcase wants to see newer bands.

anonymous 3/5/2019 7:05:03 AM

SOIA may never replicate the intensity of say Blood, Sweat... but Wake the Sleeping Dragon is a really solid record. And hey, make fun all you want, but these guys have managed to spend their lives touring the world and making music. Seems like a better deal than most have.

anonymous 3/5/2019 7:38:34 AM

anonymous1 hour ago Fight me in Philadelphia pussies, I'll be the guy in the camo pants and Madball hat. So there will be about 112 of you there

anonymous 3/5/2019 8:58:23 AM

"Most of Cape Cod is heroin addicts and illegal immigrants. I guess it's easy to think Cape Cod is all Nantucket and Martha's Vineyard when you go stay at your parents second beach home every summer LOL" I'd explain how demographics of those types of places work but you probably wouldn't get it.

anonymous 3/5/2019 10:54:44 AM

God forbid SOIA fans see newer bands which - are you ready? - SOIA and Snapcase were at one time! BTW I don't believe people don't care. SOIA are pretty stupid not to play with newer bands stateside. Turnstile blow but they draw and SOIA would be wise to suck it up and play right before them @ IP to play to new people but they're prideful. Vein who also blow would be better direct support than Snapcase and Slap Shot.

anonymous 3/5/2019 10:56:54 AM

SOIA are stuck in the past, they despise the current, and their support shows it. Afraid to be blown away I guess. How funny would it be if a "newer" hardcore band supporting SOIA played SOIA's first 7" and it sounded better than SOIA?

anonymous 3/5/2019 10:59:25 AM

And hey, make fun all you want, but these guys have managed to spend their lives touring the world and making music. Seems like a better deal than most have. >> Yeah well what happens when the band ends? When will it end? They gonna be 63 years old and touring the world 'n' sht then? Gimme a fcking break. They need to hang it up and do something new. Snapcase and Slap Shot as support in 2019 LOL, SMH & FOH.

anonymous 3/5/2019 11:04:06 AM

Most of Cape Cod is heroin addicts and illegal immigrants. I guess it's easy to think Cape Cod is all Nantucket and Martha's Vineyard when you go stay at your parents second beach home every summer LOL >> Hey dumbo who doesn't have a clue about the Hamptons: the Hamptons haven't been for only the rich or ultra-rich for decades now. Ditto for Cape Cod but mostly monied people go to CC as well as MV and Nantucket, but thanks for being clueless, Trump supporter.

anonymous 3/5/2019 11:05:48 AM

only the oldest chodes will be at any of these >> This would be a great tagline for this tour (if a tour had a tagline.)

anonymous 3/5/2019 11:07:58 AM

Yo New York you remember what time it is!

anonymous 3/5/2019 11:52:22 AM

^ That SOIA is long gone.

anonymous 3/5/2019 1:11:56 PM

I'm sick of all this talk about deadbeat dads not paying child support on time or ever at all. BTW SOIA get 10k per show pre merch sales.

anonymous 3/5/2019 1:37:30 PM

No way in hell do they get 10k guarantee

anonymous 3/5/2019 2:16:32 PM

Heard they'll be a Boston date with The Meatmen opening.

anonymous 3/5/2019 6:45:50 PM

No way in hell do they get 10k guarantee >> Not outside of SOIA's hometown NYC. Irving Plaza is 1200 capacity. Assuming 1000 paid people there best case scenario x $25 admission = 25K gross - half that to IP = 12.5K to the bands. Figure 7K to SOIA, 4K to Snapcase (underpay), 1K to Slap Shot, 500 to La Armada. SOIA will probably make around 6K showpay on their hometown show (if 6K they make 5.4K after their booking agent's 10% so 5.4K by 4 = 1.35K per band member before taxes.)

anonymous 3/6/2019 11:53:48 AM

What new bands would open anyway? They all suck. Sorry.

anonymous 3/6/2019 12:21:18 PM

^ Turnstile/SOIA/Vein/La Armada would be a better bill and easily sell out. It'd be better for SOIA too as Turnstile and Vein fans would see them. But they basically gave the middle finger to new/current/active bands so fck 'em. SOIA is done.

anonymous 3/8/2019 12:42:01 PM

SOIA do indeed get around $10K to play in NYC. They do fantastic in Europe and outside of the USA. They are one of the biggest American HC bands of all time, no matter what the nerd/hipster/virgin/trolls on here think.

anonymous 3/9/2019 10:59:54 AM

Hardcore for a paycheck The passion and spirit is long gone The drug dealing wisdom In a c-ckring The band DMs took over slapshot Crap case Hxc for a paycheck fck Soia Sadball Another front Sheer shit and Paul the Nazi

anonymous 3/9/2019 4:50:57 PM

SOIA do indeed get around $10K to play in NYC. If that's accurate, it explains why they're doing Irving Plaza. They'd need someone like Live Nation to cover the loss.
