Jonny Craig kicked out of Slaves

Jonny Craig no longer in Slaves Sacramento, California post-hardcore/rock outfit Slaves has kicked out vocalist and co-founder Jonny Craig. It appears that Craig's well-documented demons have surfaced to an untenable degree. The band has issued the following statement:
"It's with a heavy heart that we announce that Jonny Craig has been removed from the band Slaves. "We all have struggles in our daily life, but for some, those struggles are personally and physically dangerous. It is no secret that Jonny has battled with addiction in his personal life, sometimes those battles are won, and most recently lost. It's also unfair for a band to rely on someone who just can't rely on themselves. Addiction is a disease, and we hope Jonny gets the help that he needs. Unfortunately, Jonny chose his addiction over the band and left them high and dry while checking in for their international flight while he boarded a plane back home. "As a band we've worked too hard to stop now. Fans that have been touched by our music, everyone that has enjoyed our songs, to anyone that has met us as a band we will continue on with Slaves. "Unfortunately, due to this, we are forced to cancel our Bristol, UK show tonight. Never fear, thankfully, our good friend Matt McAndrew (who you'd recognize from The Voice) will be filling in on all remaining England and European dates to help us in this trying time. We also have some exciting news on the future of Slaves (we think you will be excited) coming soon. "To everyone, thank you for your continued support."
What this means for Craig's musical career is anyone's guess, but he was kicked out of Emarosa in 2011, and booted from Dance Gavin Dance in 2012. UPDATE: Jonny Craig put forth the following statement via Instagram:

"Jonny has battled with addition in his personal life" I'd probably do a lil H too if I was that bad at math

easyhateoven 1/24/2019 6:21:09 AM

Michael Keene is stoked

Too bad he's got an addition problem. I hear it really multiplies over time and causes division in a band leading causing them to subtract someone.

missed a PERFECTLY good opportunity to use the headline Genderqueer Gingerbeer Johhny Craig Kicked out of Slaves

Jonny has battled with addition Jonny has battled with addition Jonny has battled with addition "Dude had his subtraction on lock, but addition was something he struggled with until the end."

anonymous 1/24/2019 7:05:25 AM

anonymous 1/24/2019 7:06:17 AM

Fans that have been touched by our music, everyone that has enjoyed our songs, to anyone that has met us as a band WHO are these people? Don't know a single person who likes this band and I know a lot of people bruh

anonymous 1/24/2019 7:09:16 AM

wtf is with these two-first-name people...Matt McAndrew? Steve McMike Alex McJonathan Jeffrey McRussell Jaquavian McT.J.

anonymous 1/24/2019 7:09:27 AM

Zach from Skull Trophy here. Officially putting my hat into the ring for consideration. I'm a sick vocalist, and more importantly, easily more skilled in finger blasting 15 year olds while an entire scene pretends they don't know. Hit me up for the MKE connect. We can play JJ's no problem

anonymous 1/24/2019 7:13:59 AM

A touring lifestyle just isn't conducive with addition...

anonymous 1/24/2019 8:11:31 AM

"Addiction is a disease...Jonny chose his addiction over the band..." See the problem, nerds?

anonymous 1/24/2019 8:15:16 AM

"We've worked too hard to get where we are right now: employing drug addicts and completely unheard of by 99.99999999999999999999999 9999999998% of the world's population."

anonymous 1/24/2019 8:17:27 AM

So he isnt very good at adding to things but he is very good at taking things away?

anonymous 1/24/2019 8:18:59 AM

I can't believe that weight loss lady is a junkie. Sad stuff.

anonymous 1/24/2019 8:36:57 AM

Theses math jokes are getting exponentially funnier

anonymous 1/24/2019 8:46:55 AM

anonymous 1/24/2019 8:47:12 AM

I'd never heard of this guy, but just got an hours worth of entertainment going over past articles of this guy on Lambgoat. Keep the drugs flowing.

anonymous 1/24/2019 8:52:54 AM

Addiction is a disease but he chose it over the band? "Cancer is a disease, and unfortunately Tommy has chose to have cancer instead of a long life with his family." Idiots.

anonymous 1/24/2019 9:23:19 AM

WHY WON'T HOLLYWOOD CAST HALLE BERRY ANYMORE?!

ineedmoresalt 1/24/2019 9:34:38 AM

It's all adds up, he's taking away from the band. Gotta get to the square root of the problem, maybe there's a remainder to his career

anonymous 1/24/2019 9:53:26 AM

For the band this is certainly a situation of addition by subtraction

anonymous 1/24/2019 9:59:56 AM

lmao who is going to see this band without him? Don't do drugs kids.

thetowerofrome 1/24/2019 10:57:00 AM
