Mastodon set to release 'brutal' new song

Mastodon recently recorded a "heavy" new song which they are expected to release this month. The song was tracked last month at the band's own studio and features guest vocals from frequent collaborator, Scott Kelly (of Neurosis). In a new interview with Kerrang magazine, guitarist Bill Kelliher said the track was "a basher" and "brutal," while drummer Brann Dailor added, "It's as heavy as I've heard us in a while." Be on the lookout for a digital release within the next week.

There's that word again: "heavy." Why are things so heavy in the future? Is there a problem with the Earth's gravitational pull?

^ are you STILL that upset that he kicked your camera out of your hands while they were performing live? people paid to see the band play, not to see some lame-O try to get his picture taken while they were performing.

If you're looking for hard and heavy, head over to fat pat's instagram page where he complains about mumble rappers making more money than teachers, and complains how they are terrible because of their lack of recording/sampling/sonic skills. Boo Hoo.
